Webinar About the COVID-19 Vaccine

Local physician and Cosumnes Fire Department Medical Director, Dr. Kevin Mackey, provides an overview into the science and history behind vaccinations during a free webinar held on Thursday, January 7. Learn more about the vaccines created specifically to combat COVID-19. Dr. Mackey will address the common concerns and frequently asked questions about the new COVID-19 vaccines. This webinar is presented in partnership by the City of Elk Grove and Cosumnes Community Services District.

What is the City Doing?

As both an employer and a local government agency, the City is implementing the following measures in response to COVID-19:

  • Updates from the Mayor. 
  • COVID-19 Response and Recovery Programs and Activities.
  • Participating in conference calls with the county and regional response agencies to stay up to date and prepared to implement strategies to protect and inform the community.
  • Sharing information with residents through our communication channels.
  • Increasing the frequency and intensity of public transit bus cleaning with our transit contractor, SacRT. Learn about transit changes.
  • Public spaces at City Hall are being wiped down and disinfected at higher frequencies to prevent the spread of germs.
  • Staff are continuing to update this page and social media platforms with the latest information.
