Project Purpose and Overview
The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate or repave portions of Waterman Road and Elk Grove Florin Road while also adding class II (on-street) bike lanes. The City will design and construct a mid-block pedestrian crossing along Elk Grove-Florin Road north of Valley Oak Lane. Future connectivity will be made possible along Waterman Road for the City’s bike lane network, while reducing annual pavement maintenance costs and extending the life of the road pavement for improve ride quality. Segment 9 on Elk Grove Boulevard is delayed due to right-of-way complexities and will be constructed at a later time.
