Council to Consider Options for Transit Services

Council to Consider Options for Transit Services

Posted: 11/30/2018

The Elk Grove City Council will consider options for the delivery of public transit services at their next meeting on December 12.

The City’s contract with MV Transportation (MV) for the operations and maintenance of e-tran and e-van services will expire in June 2019. The Council will discuss whether to continue contracting for services in July 2019, with either an extension of MV’s contract or initiating a new contract with Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT). The Council has also asked staff to provide a separate analysis identifying the pros and cons to annexing the City’s transit services to SacRT as an alternative to contracting for these services.

Details for these options will be included in the Council agenda packet released online on December 7.
