The Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) and the City of Elk Grove are partnering in the planning and building of two new parks in the Laguna Ridge area of Elk Grove.  Oasis Community Park is a 20 acre community park located at the intersection of Whitelock Parkway and Knotts Drive, and Porto Park is a 1.3 acre neighborhood park located at the intersection Ponte Delgado Drive and Sintra Way.

The City and CSD will be hosting two community outreach meetings to share information on both parks and solicit public input on the design for Oasis Community Park.  The meetings will be held on Thursday, July 9 and Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m.  Both meetings will be held in the multi-purpose room at Toby Johnson Middle School, 10099 Franklin High Road.  An open house format will begin at 6:00 p.m. to provide an overview of the proposed design for Porto Park.  The first meeting will also provide residents the opportunity to discuss and generate ideas for the 20 acre Community Park with a workshop beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Staff will develop a consensus master plan for the Community Park based on these ideas which will be presented at the second meeting.  Those interested in providing input on the park are encouraged to attend these meetings.  Those who are unable to attend the meeting can provide input and stay updated on the projects by visiting
