Youth Services
The Youth Services division develops, implements and manages a full range of youth-based programs and services that will benefit the youth in the City of Elk Grove. Youth Services works in conjunction with the Elk Grove Police Department, Elk Grove Unified School District, Cosumnes Community Services, nonprofit organizations, local businesses and recreational organizations.
Jim Miller
Youth Services Manager
Youth Services Manager Jim Miller has more than 30 years of experience working with Elk Grove’s youth. Prior to working with the City of Elk Grove, Jim served as Executive Director of the Elk Grove Teen Center for 20 years. During his tenure, Jim was instrumental in providing the core developmental building blocks for teens mental, physical, social and spiritual well being in the community.
In the winter of 2007, Jim was hired as the first Youth Services Manager for the City of Elk Grove. In his role as Youth Services Manager, Jim will develop and coordinate programs, activities and resources among the City’s nonprofit, community-based organizations that will benefit Elk Grove’s youth. In addition, he will coordinate and conduct public outreach for community-based programs, including festivals and events that benefit Elk Grove families and provide a positive environment for youth.
