Annual Leave (vacation/sick)
0-4 years = 176 hours = 7.33pp
5-9 years = 192 hours = 8pp
10-14 years = 208 hours = 8.66pp
15-19 years = 224 hours = 9.33pp
20+ years = 240 hours = 10pp
Administrative Leave for Exempt Employees
Mid-Management - Admin Leave= 40 hours annually
Management – Admin Leave= 80 hours annually
Holidays
Twelve (12) paid Holidays/yr
Holiday In Lieu
If applicable to specific position. Accrue to 104 hours; excess paid at 4.33 hrs/pp (straight time).
Maternity/Paternity
Twelve weeks allowable time off in conjunction with paid Family Leave; may use accrued leave hours.
Family Bereavement
Maximum of 3 paid days per event
Military Leave
City pays the difference between reserve compensation and City compensation during each service period.
Overtime
Pay at time and one half. OT Calculated against base pay.
Court Appearance
Jury Duty, Court Appearance and required Expert Witness time is paid.
Stand-by Pay/Call-in Pay
Non-exempt employees will be paid a minimum of two (2) hours, or actual hours worked if more than two (2), When on stand-by or called in to work on a scheduled day off.
Out of Class Pay
5-10% available upon Management approval.
Uniform Allowance

80% up to $4,000/year for undergraduate
80% up to $6,000/year for graduate studies
PERS
2.7% at 55 City pays employee & employer contributions.

Deferred Compensation
Employee may participate in a 457 deferred compensation plan either through ICMA or Valic up to maximum allowed by law.
Deferred Compensation City Match
The City will match a 100% of employee contribution to a deferred compensation plan up to 6%. 1yr vesting period.

Vision Care
The City offers a “cafeteria plan,” which includes a monthly health contribution. The employee may apply toward premiums for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. The City will allow unused funds to be designated as salary.
City Paid Life Insurance
Benefit amount is 100% of annual salary with a minimum of $50,000 and maximum of $105,000. Additional life insurance may be purchased up to $500,000 by employee.
Short Term Disability
City pays 60% of base pay over 216 hours (9 weeks). Option to purchase up to 100% through the Flexible Spending Account.
Long Term Disability
City pays monthly 60% of base pay up to $6,000 over 1,248 hours (31weeks). Option to purchase up to 100% through the Flexible Spending Account.
Retiree Health Insurance
Employee is eligible for PERS medical at the time of retirement.
