The City of Elk Grove is committed to bringing high quality employers to the City of Elk Grove and to helping existing businesses grow and succeed.
- The City has teamed with the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce to form the Elk Grove Economic Development Corporation (EGEDC). The EGEDC is dedicated to providing information, professional assistance, site selection assistance, and bringing together decision makers to help make growing or locating a business in Elk Grove a smooth and quick process.

- The City has a dedicated staff person, an Economic Development Ombudsman, to assist prospective and current businesses. The Ombudsman works directly with business owners, developers, and contractors to answer questions, provide information, act as a liaison to City and Other Agency staff, and provide any other assistance that may be needed.
