The City of Elk Grove and the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce have together formed an Economic Development Corporation (EDC). The EDC of Elk Grove will endeavor to grow a healthy local economy that attracts high quality jobs and supports the local business community. The city’s contributions to the EDC are outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by Mayor Jim Cooper and Chamber President Francisco Rodriguez on March 30, 2007. This agreement also consists of a total contribution from the city in the amount of $750,000 over five years to fund the corporation and its economic development efforts.
