The City of Elk Grove and the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce have together formed the Elk Grove Economic Development Corporation (EGEDC) to provide information and professional assistance to businesses interested in expanding or establishing operations in the City of Elk Grove. The EGEDC is all about helping streamline site selection, and working with City staff to expedite the permitting processes and bringing together decision makers to making growing or locating a business in Elk Grove a smooth and quick process.
The EGEDC endeavors to grow a healthy local economy that attracts high quality jobs and supports the local business community. The city’s contributions to the EGEDC are outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on March 30, 2007. This agreement also consists of a total contribution from the city in the amount of $750,000 over five years to fund the corporation and its economic development efforts.
