NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be opened and tabulated by or on behalf of the City Clerk at the City Clerk’s designated office located at 8380 Laguna Palms Way, Suite 200, Elk Grove, California, immediately after 2:00 P.M. local time on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 for furnishing all labor, materials, tax, transportation, equipment and services necessary for the:
Safe Routes to School – Laguna Creek Pedestrian Bridge Project
PT0065
Any bids received after the time specified shall be returned unopened.
Description of Work:
Work includes the re-alignment of the existing trail over Laguna Creek and the construction of 272 foot long pedestrian bridge. A portion of the existing trail will be abandoned, import fill will be placed to construct the bridge approaches, and the new trail will be paved. Structural work includes a two span Half-Through H-Section structural steel truss manufactured bridge as shown on the plans. The two trusses are each 136’-0” long and supported on one concrete pier and concrete abutments supported by CIDH concrete drilled shaft foundations/piles. The bridge work will also include wing walls and retaining walls with safety railing.
The Engineer’s estimate for the work is $1,384,000.
