Advisory Board
The City of Elk Grove is soliciting resumes from persons interested in representing the City on the Sacramento Regional Human Rights/Fair Housing Commission Advisory Board. The Advisory Board provides direction to the Executive Director of the Human Rights / Fair Housing Commission consistent with the policy, goals, objectives, and priorities established by the Governing Board. Specific duties of Advisory Board members shall include representing the Commission at community events, participating in the development of media promoting the Commission, attending joint meetings with other community advisory boards, participating on a speakers’ bureau, speaking to community organizations on issues and legislation relevant to the Commission, attending educational forums and events, actively participating in events of non-profit organizations established to promote the purpose of the Commission. Advisory Board members shall serve without compensation.
Resumes from interested City of Elk Grove residents are now invited and should be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office at 8380 Laguna Palms Way, Suite 200, Elk Grove CA 95758. The resume should include a statement of the prospective member interests and the name, title, address and telephone number. The resume should also describe the person’s qualifications, including any experience.
Deadline for resume submittal is April 15, 2008 or until such time sufficient applications have been received.
