Applications Sought for Elk Grove General Public Member on the Sacramento Cities/County Solid Waste Advisory Committee AB939 Task Force
The City of Elk Grove is seeking applications to fill one General Public Member vacancy on the Sacramento Cities/County Solid Waste Advisory Committee / AB939 Task Force. Applicants must reside within the City of Elk Grove.
COMMITTEE’S SCOPE: The Committee advises the County Board of Supervisors, the city councils of the cities of the county, and the Sacramento Regional County Solid Waste Authority on:
- All matters relating to the County of Sacramento Integrated Waste Management plan and all of its state-mandated city and/or county unincorporated area waste management planning documents;
- All matters relating to integrated waste management, including public education, source reduction, recycling, composting, transformation, materials recovery/resource recovery and marketing, and refuse and recyclables storage, collection, transfer, processing, and disposal.
Sacramento Cities/County Solid Waste Advisory Committee/AB 939 Task Force meets once each month at 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday at the County of Sacramento, Department of Water Quality, 10545 Armstrong Avenue, First Floor Conference Room (Room #170) Mather Field, Rancho Cordova.
APPLICATIONS: Applications may be obtained from and returned to the Office of the City Clerk, 8380 Laguna Palms Way, Suite 200, Elk Grove, CA 95758. Applications are also available on the City’s website www.elkgrovecity.org. Applications may be mailed or hand-delivered to the City Clerk. The application should include a statement of the prospective member’s interests and the name, title, address and telephone number. The application should also describe the person’s qualifications and experience. Following application review, the City Council will make the appointment.
