Vehicles
Abandoned vehicles on public streets are the most unsightly as well as the most commonly reported nuisance. A vehicle parked in one place for more than a few days, or one that is not currently registered or running, can be attractive to thieves and vandals as well as curious children in the neighborhood. These vehicles may be cited and towed and should be reported to the Traffic Bureau of the Elk Grove Police Department at 478-8160.
Parking violations on public or commercial property, such as vehicles blocking driveways or sidewalks, unauthorized vehicles in disabled spaces, and commercial vehicles parked in a residential area, should be referred to Elk Grove Parking Enforcement at 478-8160.
Inoperable vehicles on private property are addressed as zoning violations and should be reporting by calling 687-3023.
