Elk Grove Hires Retail Strategies to Attract Retailers to the City

The City of Elk Grove has retained Birmingham, Alabama based retail consultant, Retail Strategies, to assist in the identification and recruitment of new high quality retailers to the City.  Retail Strategies is a national leader in municipal retail consulting.  The City and Retail Strategies will work with retailers, developers, and brokers to attract stores to the City that will thrive in the southern Sacramento and northern San Juaquin Valley metro markets, with emphasis on increased retail quantity and quality, and lifestyle retailers.  Retail Strategies also represents the cities of Cypress, Lompoc, and Simi Valley in the state of California.
 
“The goal of this contract is to obtain national representation that will assist the City with recruiting high quality retail, dining, and entertainment concepts to Elk Grove,” said Economic Development Director Darrell Doan.
 
“We are very excited to be working with Elk Grove,” said Joseph Fackel, Executive Vice President for Retail Strategies.  “Elk Grove has a tremendous opportunity to capitalize on both the growth of the Sacramento Region and the City’s strong consumer demographics.  We look forward to helping the City meet the shopping needs of its residents,” Fackel said.
 
As part of a one year contract, Retail Strategies will assist the City with developing targeted demographics and marketing materials, pursuing a target list of retailers for key development sites, and will attend 18 retail conferences and trade shows representing the City, including the upcoming RECON retail conference in Las Vegas.
