Join the City of Elk Grove, MLK365, and our regional community in honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., at March for the Dream. This march and diversity expo promotes understanding and celebrates our diversity. Take the purpose a step further, invite someone from another race, religion, or cultural background to walk with you—with us

Parking and Transportation

  • Take Lightrail from Elk Grove! Parking at the RT Franklin lightrail station will be free on March Day
  • If driving, parking in the downtown area at metered parking spots will be free for the March Day courtesy of the City of Sacramento

Walk with your friends, neighbors and strangers who may become new connections. We encourage you to invite someone from another race, religion or cultural background to walk with you. Look for the City of Elk Grove Tent in front of the College Bookstore at Sacramento City College for our morning meet up, then following the march, join us at the Diversity Expo inside the Sacramento Convention Center.

Following the March, visit the Diversity Expo that will showcase what our communities are doing to make a positive impact in our region, and the world. The Expo will feature vendors, performances, exhibitions, music, spoken-word, arts and crafts, employers, educators, health professionals and much more.
