Review the Draft Blueprint for a Brighter Future

Posted: 08/01/2018

Elk Grove’s General Plan is a state-mandated document that addresses issues such as transportation, housing, open space, conservation, safety, and more. Elk Grove’s General Plan was originally adopted in 2003. An update of the City’s General Plan was begun in 2016. The draft General Plan, draft Environmental Impact Report, draft Climate Action Plan, and the draft Transportation Analysis Guidelines are now available for public review. There are three ways to review these drafts:

  1. Online at www.elkgrovecity.org/generalplan
  2. Review a copy at City Hall (8401 Laguna Palms Way) Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm
  3. Review a copy at either the Elk Grove or Franklin libraries during normal business hours

The comment period for the draft Environmental Impact Report will be open for 60 days, through September 26. Staff will be presenting an overview of the materials and a draft schedule to the Planning Commission and City Council at the August 16 Planning Commission meeting and the August 22 City Council meeting.
