Press Release - Vendors and Artists Sought for Elk Grove Summer Events

Posted: 06/19/2015

The City of Elk Grove invites artists and exhibitors to sign up to participate in two upcoming summer events.

The 4th annual Elk Grove Multicultural Festival will be held on August 22 at Elk Grove Regional Park from 10 am to 5 pm.  The festival, hosted by the Elk Grove Multicultural Committee and presented by Hill Physicians, features an art show as well as two entertainment stages and a new culinary pavilion celebrating a theme of “Many Cultures, One Community.”  In 2014, the festival attracted an estimated 10,000 guests.  Submissions for the art show are free and exhibitor spaces for crafters and commercial vendors range from $50-$70.  Applications for the art show and the festival are available on the City’s web site at www.elkgrovecity.org/mcf.  The deadline for applications is August 7.

The Elk Grove Committee for the Arts is introducing a new celebration of American artistry and music.  The Art Americana Faire will premiere on Saturday, September 19 in Elk Grove’s Old Town Plaza from 11 am to 5 pm.  This event will feature performances, demonstrations, and readings from local artisans.  Authors, poets, photographers, painters, sculptors, jewelers, and musicians are encouraged to submit an application to participate.  This is a free opportunity and applications are available from the City’s web site at www.elkgrovecity.org/artamericana.  Please submit your application on or before August 28.

For more information on these or other City produced events, please contact the City’s Events Coordinator, Jodie Moreno at (916) 478-3632 or events@elkgrovecity.org.
