Press Release - City of Elk Grove Seeks Trails Committee Member

Elk Grove, Calif. – Elk Grove residents age 18 years or older with a passion for improving bicycle and pedestrian mobility in Elk Grove are encouraged to apply for membership on the City’s Trails Committee.

The Trails Committee is a standing City committee whose members provide suggestions and advice concerning future trails and bikeway initiatives, as well as comments on development and Capital Improvement projects adjacent to or encompassing planned trails and bikeways.  This is a non-paid volunteer position.

Monthly meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers (8400 Laguna Palms Way).

Applicants for the Committee must be at least 18 years old and registered voters who reside in Elk Grove.  Applications are available on the City’s web site at www.elkgrovecity.org or within the City Clerk’s Office located at 8401 Laguna Palms Way.  Applications received on or before August 19 will be considered for appointment by the Mayor, with approval by the City Council.
