Welcome to the City of Elk Grove's Electronic Plan Checking(E-Plan)

The City is excited to be able to offer this service to our customers and we look forward to your feedback. Please take a moment to read the following handout on how to access and use the City of Elk Grove's E-Plan application.

Your E-Plan process for Building Permits will begin once you have applied for a building permit and paid the applicable plan review and zone check fees at the Building Department’s front counter.  You will receive an email that contains your specific username and password and link to access your project within 5 minutes of the payment being processed.  You will receive email notifications throughout the project letting you know when there are comments or actionable items that need your attention.

If your project requires plan review and/or payment of fees to outside agencies the Building Department will continue to require sign-offs and/or receipts to be delivered directly to the Building Department front counter prior to building permit issuance. We are currently working with outside agents and are encouraging them to join us in Electronic Plan Checking (E-Plan). At this time, the outside agencies will continue with current process they have in place.

Your E-Plan process for Development Engineering will begin once you have paid the applicable fees at the Development Engineering counter.  You will receive an email that contains your specific username and password and link to access your project.  You will receive email notifications throughout the project letting you know when there are comments or actionable items that need your attention.

You will need to follow the submittal requirements from all non-participating agencies and receive approval in writing from each agency prior to plan and or map approval.
