Edward J. Kelly
Assistant Chief of Police
A graduate of the FBI National Academy and with a Bachelor of Arts degree in human relations and human resource management, Assistant Chief of Police Edward J. Kelly has been with the City of Elk Grove Police Department for two years.
Chief Kelly worked the prior 24 years for the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department where he was a recipient of numerous awards and letters of commendation, including the 1999 Manager of the Year and two unit citations for on duty performance.
Chief Kelly is currently serving as a board member for the Elk Grove Teen Center. He is also an active member for the International Chiefs of Police, the California Police Chiefs Association, and the FBI National Academy Associates.
