Dog and Cat License
License Instructions
Licenses can be purchased for up to three years and require proof of current rabies vaccination, and microchip registration card. Licenses are only valid for the duration of the rabies vaccine. In order to be eligible for the ALTERED fees, you must provide a copy of the animal’s neuter certificate.

Further License Information
Altered Exemption
A letter from a licensed veterinarian IS REQUIRED IF the dog or cat CANNOT be spayed or neutered for medical reasons only. Upon receipt of the letter, the license fee will be equivalent to one-half (0.5) of the required license fee. EGMC 8.03.010(C).
Required Microchip DocumentationAll animal license applications are required to include a copy of the microchip registration card or the Microchip Exempt Fee of $50 for each dog or cat. To fulfill this requirement please include either: a copy of the animal’s medical reports from the veterinarian or the microchip registration confirmation page from the microchip company or the Microchip Exempt Fee of $50.
Service Dog License
In order to be allegeable for a Service Dog License, we require that the Service Dog Affidavit is filled out and turned in with the animal license application.
Senior Discount
In order to receive a senior discount, we require that valid identification be presented to the Cashier’s Department at City Hall. The senior discount is valid for (2) altered animals, cats or dogs, and $25 per unaltered animal per year. The animal needs to reside at the household where the owner of the cat or dog is over the age of sixty-five (65).
